Finding inspiration in the mathematical
Math is the foundation of universal intelligence. As we tackled the challenge of visualizing AI, mathematical patterns in the natural world, science, and contemporary architecture served as inspiration for communicating the deep and complex science of multi-agent orchestration.
Partnering directly with the founders, we delivered a visual identity and design system and shaped the user experience across Emergence's orchestration platform and playground environments.
MARK
The whole is greater than the sum of it's parts
In autonomous multi-agent orchestration, individual AI agents act as parts that collaborate to achieve a whole system’s objective, much like cells in an organism. Working closely with Gerundio, this insight served as core inspiration in developing the logomark.
PP Neue Machina struck the perfect balance between the futuristic and the organic, and was selected as the typographic base for the wordmark.
IMAGE LIBRARY
Building an AI-driven image library
Though experimentation in prompt engineering, we were able to generate a library of custom imagery with mathematical patterns found in the natural world as a foundation. Creating a formula for prompt construction allowed us to scale our library themes to include macro abstractions of feathers, fractals, fungi, insect anatomy, foliage, scales, Turing patterns, water, and waves.

PATTERN
Pattern as a visualization of universal order
Patterns in nature and multi-agent orchestration both involve simple individual actions that come together to create complex, efficient, and adaptive systems.
By deconstructing patterns in nature to their fundamental components, we created visual elements to expand the Emergence visual language.
DESIGN SYSTEM
Building a unified design system
Similar to how multiple agents are orchestrated to produce a unified response, the Emergence design system functions as a flexible framework of atoms, molecules, and organisms for creating beautiful, cohesive products.

With the Emergence visual language and design system defined, we were able to work quickly and iteratively to meet investor needs.

Outcome
